Electronic pioneers, their first single "Lawnchairs", which they released in 1980 on their own Design label, became the first independent single to crack the US Billboard Top 40 and went on to sell over one million copies worldwide.

Tonight

Hailing from Southend, home to Eddie and the Hot Rods, Dr Feelgood and the Kursaal Flyers, Tonight were a UK band that surfed the New Wave and hit the heights in 1978 with their first single "Drummer Man", which reached No 14 in the UK charts. They were the first band to be labelled as "Power Pop".

Johnny Warman

Best known for his 1981 hit "Screaming Jets" featuring Peter Gabriel on backing vocals, the single had great success throughout Europe and in Australia.  Three of Johnny's albums ("Hour Glass", "Walking Into Mirrors" (which includes "Screaming Jets") and "From The Jungle To The New Horizons") are available for licence.
