Artists

Formed in 1973 in the USA, this 5 piece band skillfully melded a range of musical influences, most notably rock with (as might be surmised from their name) flamenco roots.  They made three highly regarded albums, "Fandangos in Space", "Dancing On A Cold Wind" and "The Gypsies", all of which are available for licensing.

"Andromeda's sole album [from 1969] was heavy guitar psychedelia that leaned far more toward the lurking hard rock, progressive, and occasionally metal movements than it did toward more pop- and song-oriented psych."

Electronic pioneers, their first single "Lawnchairs", which they released in 1980 on their own Design label, became the first independent single to crack the US Billboard Top 40 and went on to sell over one million copies worldwide.

Sally Oldfield, sister of musician/composer Mike Oldfield, has been writing/playing/singing her own songs for over 30 years. She is best known for her world-wide hit single "Mirrors" in 1978 with its exotic Hawaiian harmonies

Beautiful self-penned songs from a major new talent.   Much more than a stereotypical singer-songwriter, classically trained on piano, cello, recorder and flute, Emily's talents are given full expression on her third album "Believer".

Emily's last single "I'd rather be" was played by Chris Evans, Steve Wright and Radcliffe & Maconie on BBC
Radio 2

The vehicle for the maverick brothers Ron and Russell Mael, Sparks have ploughed their own musical furrow for over thirty years.

Always innovative and interesting, these tracks are from their much lauded 1994 album 'Gratuitous Sax and Senseless Violins'.

Most famous for their US #2 classic "Louie Louie", the Kingsmen hailed from Oregon and secured their moment in pop history with their definitive recording of the Richard Berry song.  Rolling Stone magazine voted is as “The #4 most influential recording of all time” in 2007, and it is universally acknowledged as a classic party anthem.

Hailing from West London in the early 1980's the Cartoons, led by Larry Cane-Honeysett were part of the burgeoning pub rock scene.

Mouse released their one and only album "Lady Killer" in 1973, which is now considered something of a prog rock classic.

"Led by Ray Russell, Mouse presents an album of progressive rock that is sought-after for a good number of reasons. His soaring acid guitar reigns supreme... (and) given that all other tracks are ... at best marvellous, it's easy to see why progressive collectors consider this album a must." - Tapestry of Delights

Put together by veteran producer Mike Hurst, Fancy flourished in the 1970s.  Especially popular in the USA, they scored a US Top 10 hit with their version of the classic "Wild Thing", following this up with "Touch Me".
